Silk is smoother than cotton and holds far less moisture, so it is gentler against skin that thin. These are 22 momme mulberry, the same silk as our pillowcases rather than a lighter offcut.\n\nCheck the construction, not the picture\n\nOn anything a baby wears, look for what can come loose. There is no plastic fastening on these, no rigid trim and nothing to detach.\n\nWashing them\n\nHand wash in cool water with a detergent made for baby clothes.
